I am an urban planner, spatial analyst, and interdisciplinary designer. I hold an MS in Urban Planning from Columbia GSAPP, where I specialized in advanced GIS applications and spatial justice. I previously received an MA in South Asian Studies from UT Austin, with full funding from the FLAS Fellowship. This interdisciplinary training informs my approach to design and spatial analysis work— combining technical rigor with cultural sensitivity and community engagement.
My planning work focuses on spatial justice, GIS analysis, cultural preservation, and community-centered design. Through projects like "Critical Cartographies of Southern Cultures" and spatial analysis of nightlife districts, I use mapping and data visualization to inform equitable planning decisions and amplify voices on the margins.
Over the course of my
interdisciplinary studies, my practice has spanned audio design, cultural installations, and community organizing, bringing creative approaches to complex spatial and social challenges.
I believe effective planning requires both technical rigor and deep community engagement. My work centers marginalized voices, using spatial analysis and design tools to inform equitable development and cultural preservation. I'm committed to planning that strengthens connections between people and place.
My writings have been previously published in EFNIKS, Spy Kids Review, URBAN Magazine, Cordite Magazine, and Rest for Resistance.
